Dr. David Brousseau is a Professor of Pediatrics and Section Chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin / Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He is a helath services researcher with a research interest in healthcare utilization, specifically emergency department utilization. He successfully transitioned from a federal Career Development Award to NIH R01funding.  He is also funded through the Medical College of Wisconsin's CTSI to mentor junior faculty and is the PI of our CTSI TL 1 award.

Dr. Brousseau serves as the site PI for the Medical College of Wisconsin in the Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN) and as an MCW site co-Investigator for PEPR.  He has successfully mentored numerous trainees to obtain funding.

Dr. Brousseau received his undergraduate and MD degrees from the University of Virginia, and then completed a Pediatric residency in Denver, Colorado and a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship and Masters in Epidemiology at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
